     "We all have ideas that never come to pass, but those ideas keep you going. They lead you to your next adventure.

    In 16 years we've had many ideas and dreams that didn't go far.
In May of 2016 Jeremy looked at me and said, "Maybe we should pursue the motel."
     I had been working in the office for 2 years at that point. I loved the business side of it, and I loved meeting new people as well.
    And then, there was the building itself. It has been a part of Eldon for almost 90 years. Our idea was to build on that for future generations to enjoy, while bringing back a little of the past.
     We knew it was going to be challenging. Throughout this year we have reminded ourselves "Anything worth having is worth working for," and we have had faith God was leading the way.
    That is how this story began."

       There is much to learn about the history of this property and that is something I look forward to exploring for many years to come. We only know a few details based off of a few old newspaper articles that have been shared. Loyd Boots built this complex in the early 1930's.

     "Loyd A. Boots 'had a vision he would build a tavern such as the visitor seldom sees. It would be attractive outside, immaculately clean inside and equipped with every modern convenience the tired muscles and bones of the weary traveler demands.'        Randles Court is what the property has been known as since 1947 when Helen Randles took ownership. Sometime in the early 1970's Chester & Donna Presta (Jeremy's uncle & aunt) purchased the property. Donna passed away in 2011. The property had been for sale for 6 years when we took ownership.

    Due to a fire that destroyed the restaurant portion of the property and damaged part of the motel in August of 2017, the motel had to undergo  renovation in order to re-open. That process has taken us to the time we are in now, with 5 rooms renovated. We will continue to restore rooms until they are all open and ready to host our guests. Our dream is to build on the past for future generations to enjoy!! We look forward to sharing our journey with you!
